Description
The Deposit Pricing & Product Senior Analyst is responsible for the pricing strategy for Commercial Middle Market deposit products. This constitutes $10+ billion in deposit balances. Responsible for the design and implementation of pricing strategies, for driving the achievement of achieving interest expense and profitability targets for the segment, and for continually identifying innovative ways to grow deposit balances at lower long-term costs.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Interpret and forecast business-driver trends: current and future.
- Execute business cases coordinating cross-functional teams: technology, legal, finance, treasury, sales support, marketing, training, customer service, and business segments.
- Partner with front-line colleagues to understand business drivers and in evaluation of pricing exception requests with consideration of marginal cost of funds, FTP, and overall impact to customer profitability.
- Independently evaluate previous month's results to plan; review product-rate driver trends and update economic scenarios and forecasts for the current month, quarter, and year.
- Monitor progress weekly: competitor's rates and advertisements, economy, Huntington's balances-revenue, plan targets, balances at risk, product driver trends, and optimal pricing targets.
- Communicate changes to scenarios, risks, rates, positioning, financials, trends and other analysis within regular meetings, emails, updates to partners and communication channels.
- Partner with other disciplines sharing insights from competitors, price elasticity, and break-even analysis for enhancing sales, cross-selling, and client retention initiatives.
- Provide reporting and analysis for exception processes and adherence to risk tolerances.
- Pull data and conduct frequent analyses to drive pricing and sales insights and to assess various pricing/targeting tests.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree.
- 5+ years of experience working in product development, product pricing, product forecasting, and/or banking experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- Proficiency in data analysis using Microsoft excel, SAS, SQL, and Tableau.
- Digital Product Management or Delivery Experience
- Leadership experience
- Self-starter who develops plans and is committed to hitting delivery dates
- Strong Analytical Skills
- Must have excellent written and verbal (face-to-face and phone) communication skills including professional grammar and demeanor
- Ability to develop working relationships with individuals at all levels of an organization
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
